The 4-day ‘Top Thai Brands-2024’ trade fair commenced on Wednesday in Dhaka, with the aim of fostering bilateral relations through the expansion of Bangladesh-Thailand trade.Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun inaugurated the fair at the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.Thai Ambassador to Bangladesh, Makawadee Sumitmor, and Khemathat Archawathamrong, minister counsellor, Thailand Trade Centre Dhaka, were also present at the event.The fair has been organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce. It will remain open daily from 10am to 8pm, from 10 July to 13 July.
The Thailand Trade Fair is considered a fruitful initiative for both countries. Many people from Bangladesh have been able to establish their businesses with Thailand through this fair.Some 64 Thai companies and importers of Thai products in Bangladesh are participating in the fair. Various types of world-class Thai products, including food items, jewellery, healthcare products, cosmetics, bedding, spa products, electronic equipment, textiles, innerwear, stationery, and household goods, are on display.
